Three Little Bears

Three little bears ran to their mother,

“Oh Mommy, oh mommy,
We are sleepy,
We are weary,
We are thirsty,
We want food in our tummies,
What should we do, mommy dearie?”

With a sweet smile that holds many pretties,
The mother bear gave each little bear, three raisins cookies.

Bismillah!” and the three little bear ate them all.
They had filled up their tummies and to mommy they called;
Alhamdulillah, thank you for the cookies that fill up us all!”

However, the sister bear went up to their mother and complained,
“But mommy....
We are still sleepy,
We got all weary,
We feel very thirsty,
Next, what should we do, mommy dearie?”

The mother bear put away her favourite quilt,
Got up and brought each of them, a glass of dates milk.

Bismillah!” and “Gulp!” the dates milk went down the little bears’ throats smoothly like a silk.
But that’s not all, to the mother bear together they called,
Alhamdulillah, thank you for the milk that grows us tall!”

Next, the brother bear went to the mother bear and whined,
“But mommy....
We are very sleepy,
We got all weary,
What should we do next, mommy dearie?”

With a gentle stroke on the little bears’ heads,
The mother bear took them to the bathroom to brush their teeth, together the little bears said;
Allahumma inni auzubika minal khubusi wal khabais!” and together they entered the bathroom with that pray.
“Ablution dear and Shaytan will be away.”
The mother bear reminded them, so the three little bears took ablution right away.
Ghufraanaka!” together they stepped out the bathroom and to their mother they called,
Alhamdulillah, thank you for the water that cleanses us all!”

Then, the baby bear went up to mommy and said,
“Now that we ate our raisins cookies, we had drunk up our dates milk, we had cleaned ourselves--- we feel comfy and very, very sleepy.”
Tell me mommy, what should we do, mommy dearie?”

The wise mother bear took the little bears to their cots,
Touched their forehead with gentle strokes,
Kissed their cheeks and their furry locks,
“Now my three little sleepy bears, let’s pray and stop the talk.”

Together, the three little bears cupped their hands and pray,
Bismikallahumma ahya wa amuut...” and the bears started snoring right away.
“In the name of Allah, we live and die. Sleep tight my little bears.” continued the mother bear.
“May Allah forgives our sins and to heaven, Insha Allah together we go there.”

Roaring kittens, what do you think of this masterpiece of my literature writing? I submitted this rhymes to Malaysia Islamic Children Fair (MICF) just now and I have a high hope to win, hehe. You see, I want to take you there, it's a fair, it's for childrem, it's Islamic aanndd, it's in Shah Alam and that is quite far from Bangi. If I win, logically I have to be there, and abati HAS to take us all there. Now, lets pray together that my story wins a place, will ya? There will be 25 winning stories, hope my story can squeeze in comfortably.

Oh yes, my inspiration to come out with this "Three Little Bears".

1. Dr. Seuss ( master of rhyming, coolness)
2. Brave - Merida and her bear mother. (bear pronounced as "bay-ya', Scottish Style)
3. Despicable Me - Gru read "Three Little Kittens" storybook to help the girls sleep. (I want that book.)

Okay, hope I can write more, Insyaallah.

P.S: I found my hidden "coral reef" in writing. I got stucked in writing for a year. I don't know what genre and what style of writing that I can do. I can't choose between Malay or English. I'm stucked and can't get out. Now I found it. It's children literature! It's in front of me, I did not "see" it before. I have children, my roaring kittens. I had a dropshipping business selling Islamic children books. I do rhyme when I feel happy or "grr-geram" with my roaring kittens. Subhanallah, how amazing this is. This purring tigress mom will try her best to expand, diversify, play around, enhance her writing skill, or just write her best children literature. My niche? Islamic children literature. It's all for you my roaring kitties!

Love from a writing-talented (read: writing-talented wannabe) mother,
The purring tigress.

Nihon, Nippon

Bismillah, in the name of Allah...

"I want to study in Japan."
"I want to live in Japan."
"I want to marry a handsome Muslim Japanese."
"I want to eat Japanese food everyday."
"Japanese people are so fantastic, they are well-mannered!"
Blah blah blah...

These thoughts used to be my everyday thoughts.
I like Japan, it's more to love though.

Got an A for Japanese basic course in university.
So my cert will have diversity.
But back to reality, I really adore Japan to infinity.

Yesterday, received good news.
From a friend that shares the same dreams.

She went to Japan, Masyaallah, that envies me.
Now she got a science phd, in Japan, Masha Allah that mesmerizes me!

Alhamdulillah, seing her obtained a doctorate in Japan,
Like seeing myself being doctorated and live my dream to Japan.

I pray that she will continue sketching wonderful memories after,
Give lectures not only filled with wisdom, but laughters.
And view young students with eyes, softer.
And please Allah, our maker.
With her knowledge and experience now, she can't be good but better.
Insyaallah, Allah knows better.

And now, my roaring kittens,
Don't you dreams too, often?
Your seatbelts, do fasten.
Because a journey is about to be taken.
Live your dreams, let they bring you to heaven!

Love,
Ummi
